The time has come to talk about watercolors base drops ! Watercolors Hair  base drops add extreme color with it's direct dye technology that will touch up faded or uneven color. You can use it to tone blondes or even create an all new hair color. . . How to use: after shampooing your hair, put some of your daily conditioner into the palm of your hand. Add 1-3 drops of the base drops to your conditioner to deposit a pastel color or 4-10 drops to create maximum intensity. Mix well before applying to hair and work through evenly. These drops can also be added to styling cremes or gels for even more contained concentration. Or you can do what I did and apply them directly to your hair! I’ve been changing things up a bit here and so I thought I’d take a minute FINALLY to talk about the big changes. So, for starters I want to say that I am no longer “brand loyal” to any business other than Blush Brush and Blow Dry by Erika with a K. I am loyal to my business and what it stands for: Beauty+Integrity. I’ve morally been here for years but it took me too long to physically get my brand here. I am proud to scream from roof tops that my business is OFFICIALLY 100% CRUELTY FREE!  What does this mean? In 2019 brands are still testing their products on animals. And we, as a society, allow and support it by continuing to purchase products from those said brands. I just want you to really think about that. Or maybe look up what some of those testings include. It may not seem like a big deal to some but to me it is a HUGE deal. Here is a video on how to color and highlight naturally coarse, curly, frizzy hair. The most important thing to remember when highlighting hair is the integrity of the clients hair. It might look great when it's blown out but did you strip her/his hair of the curl? Did you use too high of a developer in an effort to get them to their dream color at any cost? Trust me, put in the time to do it right. Let your client know that she may not get to her dream color in one appointment because you prioritize the integrity of her hair. Your client might walk out happy if you get her to her dream color in one appointment but as soon as she goes to wear it naturally curly and no longer can, because you used too high of a developer- you will lose a client. Not worth it. Be the boss, give your client someone to put their trust in. The integrity of their hair is most important and the integrity of your brand is equally as important.
