Well this year I didn't do a video on my grown up Christmas list because the only thing I really want, money just can't buy. What I wish for this year is for everything in my life to be as great as it is today. It's so easy to get sucked into the material world around us but this year I realized I already have everything I want. My husband, my pup, our health, our home, my family, my friends, my career & my clients. What in the world could be better? ........ I could never have enough makeup though... .... just saying. I started writing this post a year ago. Yes a year ago. There is something about the cold that triggers my brain to think "it's so hard to find the right black winter shoes". If you don't know what I am talking about consider yourself lucky. You have found your black shoes that can bring you through the winter. I, on the other hand, struggle year after year. Yes I have black uggs that look like slippers but can I wear them with my fancy red pants? Only if I am ok with looking and feeling silly. So last winter I took to my favorite shoe store, Marshalls and I found a pair of black boots. They aren't my all time favorite shoes but they serve their purpose... comfort, slight style and most importantly protect my ankles from the elements. Every time I put these shoes on I think, do I want to wear these? And immediately follow that thought with the realization that there is no other choice. Today is one of those days that I really don't want to forget. I woke up this morning and packaged an order that I sold this weekend... then I drove joey into work. On Mondays I often pick him up from work and we eat dinner at my moms so Tuesdays I drive him into work. We took the pup as we usually do and I remember thinking there was no way I would get everything done that I needed to get done. After I dropped him off I went right to the beauty supply to pick up the color I needed for my client today, followed by the post office to drop off my package and then to CVS to pick up my prescription. Made it home with enough time to get ready for work. As I was leaving for work I saw my father in law outside with the contractors as they were filling the footings with cement. One step closer to our dream home. I got to work with time to spare.... My client came in... we had a consultation last week but today was the first time I was ever going to do her hair. I have been doing weddings since I started in this industry, yes a whopping 12 years ago. I was very fortunate that I had such supportive people around me, that let me do their hair and makeup for their weddings, when I was just starting out. I have come a long way from my MAC days of only using MAC Cosmetics because that's what I was trained in and employed by so I therefore believed it was the end all be all. 12 years of trial and error, trying new things just to keep with the times. New products, new techniques. Yes I know how to contour. Yes I can use airbrush foundation. Yes my airbrush makeup is water based. Yes I can do any kind of eyelash you want. Yes I can do an updo. Yes I can braid hair. Yes I can give you more height. Yes I can give you less height. Yes I can use the wand. Yes I can do your great aunts makeup. Yes I can style extensions.... the answer must always be yes. And if the answer is no, you quickly learn how to make it into a yes, because if you don't do

Hi everyone!! I'm back at work! Sad for the honeymoon to be over but excited to start the next chapter of our life together... This chapter Joey & I like to call "Honey Life" haha! Hopefully within the next few weeks we will have some progress to show on the home renovations to bring us closer to having my in home salon (gahh I can't wait!)!! I noticed a difference the next morning. We used this method for a while and then switched to crest white stripes, the 3D ones. they definitely showed more improvement in a shorter amount of time but if you have sensitive teeth I would definitely recommend the activated charcoal! My lazy way of blow drying my own hair! :) I normally don't wear my hair straight because I don't think it looks good on me, but blown out hair is the best foundation to other hair styles!

Anyone that knows me, knows that I have one dream that seems unattainable, and that is to be a blonde. I have tried in the past and in hindsight it is borderline terrifying to look at... Anyone that knows me also knows that I don't believe anything is unattainable for me. After all James Blunt wrote the song "You're beautiful" about me... and "Hey there Delilah" by the Plain White T's was also written about me. Nothing like being self assured... After my blonde phase, in early 2014 I had my mom literally cut my hair off (think Demi Moore circa "Ghost") And I colored the remaining hair on my head red... So when the ombre reached it's popularity, my hair was way too short... After extensions, and trying my best not to color my hair (but failing miserably because I love changing my hair color).
